New Year New Me? Nah! New Year New Opportunities!

Have you spent every December cataloguing all the ways you fell short that year? Declaring you are going to be a new person on January 1st? Only to wake up January 2nd, or 15th or 28th and feel ....... well the same and frustrated? Sis, I see you! You are not failing , you are not unworthy or incapable. You simply have spent time trying to recreate yourself over and over, let me just say "You ARE amazing just as you are!".

I mean it. You ARE amazing, capable, intelligent, worthy, beautiful, kind, creative, talented, articulate, passionate and so much more. Rather than trying to "fix" yourself what if you chose to celebrate yourself? And let's not wait for December 31st / January 1st to decide it's time. Let's decide right NOW! That New Year New Me is a trap and as someone who has tried year after year to reinvent myself I can say with confidence that it doesn't stick. In my experience it leads to a spiral of negativity and feeling less than. Which is why I'm inviting you to join me this year, figuratively of course, in trying something new.

Rather than a running list of percieved failures that need changing. Let's declare opportunities and wins!! Both from this past year of living life and for what we hope to find in 2024. Simple things and grand things. Hopes and dreams and tiny wins. ALL OF IT!!

Here a few of my wins from 2023 that I'm going to celebrate:

1. My word was Evolve and I encompassed this word professionally, personally and spiritually. I'm so proud of myself!!

2. As Kacia Ghetmiri would say "I did the DAMN THING" and launched my podcast. I'm learning and growing and finding such joy & creativity. I'm so impressed with myself!

3. I went to therapy. It's not sexy but it genuinely has helped me through grief, trauma, anxiety and so much more. I'm so thankful that I chose myself this year.

4. I let myself jump into creativity again. I love dreaming up graphics, color schemes, making videos and things like that......I had forgotten the joy I found in being creative and I'm so loving this outlet. Yay me!!

Here a few of my opportunities and dreams for 2024:

1. I want to interview at least 12 amazing women on my podcast. Women whom I admire, whom create impact in their circle and who have a message that needs to be heard.

2. Grow our local She Speaks group and meet at least every quarter. I want to bring value, collaboration and support to women in my community. I look forward to making a difference and being part of other peoples tiny wins!

3. Life & Business coaching to grow and learn.

4. Grow my business - so many opportunities to consider. They will mean stepping outside my comfort zone but I'm ready to get uncomfortable to grow!
